Inheritance law in the Netherlands.

An heir will not cooperate? Identify the missing information or decision. A refusal about the home differs from unclear bank data. This concerns Dutch inheritance law.

Collect will, inheritance certificate and acceptance or renunciation details. Executors and liquidators have separate roles. Beneficiary acceptance may require liquidation before division.

List assets, debts and uncertainties. Record requests and replies. Do not search the deceased’s or another heir’s accounts without established authority.

Propose a defined step in writing, such as discussion or joint valuation. Your own response date does not automatically forfeit someone’s inheritance. Seek advice for urgency or mounting costs.

A notary can help seek agreement; mediation requires willingness to talk. Your lawyer represents your position. Agree who works for whom and what happens if discussion fails.

If division stays blocked, assess the suitable claim. The described civil division procedure requires a lawyer. Do not divide or sell as if consent is settled. No outcome is guaranteed.
